Choosing the Right Wedding Venue
A person’s wedding day is one of the most important days of their lives. As such, there is a need to ensure that everything goes right. Planning a wedding is not an easy thing to do. One has a lot of decisions to make, from choosing the photographer, menu, to choosing color themes and much more. The most important decision, however, is the wedding venue. Your choice in a wedding venue can either make or break your wedding day, and as such, it is important that you make this decision carefully. Do not rush into choosing any venue because this is a crucial decision. Ensure that you look at all the options you have near you before you settle on any one of them. In this article, we will be looking at some of the factors you need to consider when choosing a wedding venue.
The first factor you need to consider is a wedding venue’s availability. It is important to note that most wedding venues are booked several months or even a year in advance. This is more so if your dream wedding venue is a popular place. Before you settle on anything, call up the venue you want and ask them if they are available on the day you want to get married. To help you get your dream venue, you should call immediately after your engagement so they can find a date that is not too far. If your wedding date is flexible, it is even better for you because you can set it depending on the availability of your dream venue.
Secondly, you need to consider a wedding venue’s capacity before you book it. Before you book any venue, ensure that you visit the site, and ask about its maximum capacity. All venues have maximum capacities, beyond which they should not hold because of things such as fire hazards. To help you choose the right wedding venue, ensure that you look at the list of guests you have invited. If you have invited a hundred guests, look for a venue that can carry up to one hundred and fifty guests. This is because some guests may decide to bring someone extra along. Choose a wedding venue that is big enough to let your guests dance and move around as they please, but not so big that your wedding looks empty.
Thirdly, ensure that you consider a wedding venue’s accessibility. Look at who your guests will be, and where they come from before you choose a location. Ensure that you choose a location they can easily access. This means that finding a venue that is near them is the best way to go about it. However, if you want to hold your dream wedding in another state, then do so, but look at whether your guests can afford to fly in and out. Apart from accessibility in terms of distance, you also need to look at accessibility in terms of convenience. If you have any guest with special needs, find a venue they can easily get into.
